ABOUT ME

Hi there!

I’m Matt, currently 19 years old studying for a bachelor of Media Communications at Monash University. Just out of high school, I have been a part of the Network R crew part-time covering series like the Repco Supercars Championship, and TCR Australia alongside a variety of other Australian motorsport organisations and teams in content creation, photography and graphic design.

Living in Melbourne, Australia has enabled me to travel to established events such as the Australian Grand Prix, and Sandown 500 my whole life alongside regional areas of Phillip Island and Winton. More recently being able to expand to various Bathurst events such as the 1000, International etc has provided me with a great opportunity to put my foot forward in creating the best content I can.

The addiction to motorsport has a firm grip with the inability to miss an event whether it is two or four wheels, circuit, off-road, or anything in between. There are simply too many series and championships to name that secure my interest through their on and off seasons. Passed down from my father who worked alongside Brad Jones during the establishment of AUSCAR, I've always had the dream of working in the motorsport industry.

The first step to this dream stemmed in 2018 at the age of 14, I created an Instagram page, now known as ‘SupercarsInsider’ to fill a gap in the social media space in creating content on the Supercars Championship. The next three years of continuous posts, updates and everything I could post on the page was able to gain a following growing from strength to strength alongside my VCE schooling. This personal step led to my first job with Network R in the Spring of 2021, which has continued ever since.

Since working in the Motorsport Media Industry for the last two years, I’ve been able to expand my skill set and knowledge in various areas such as graphic design, photography and social media management through personal ventures and guidance from those around me.

Aiming to push myself to new limits and produce the best final product possible, I strive to elevate my knowledge and skillset as well as those around me.
